Are Ponies 2D or 3D?

What a interesting revelation! I have seen before the integration of 2D elements mixed in with 3D models but its not common place to see such techniques used for pony! Minty broke the mold for animation by using techniques used for pony content nowadays and it makes me happy that Minty is still active within the community.
From the breathtaking visuals of the clouds in the sky, to the glistening interiors of Canterlot's Castle!

In fact, you can see more info about the amount of work that goes into rigging and how they started in animation and other fun stuff!
